If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
4. License and acceptable use
4.1 License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
4.2 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes

5. User content
5.1 Your content
You retain ownership of any content you create or upload, including journal entries, audio, and images.
5.2 License to use content
By using the App, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and use your content solely to operate and improve the App’s features (including AI-powered functionality).
We do not use your content for advertising purposes.
6. AI features disclaimer
Some features in Zamly are powered by artificial intelligence.
- The AI is not a scholar, Imam, or religious authority
- The AI is not a medical or mental health professional
- Responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate
AI features are provided for informational and supportive purposes only and should not be relied on as professional advice.
7. Religious and calculation disclaimer
Prayer times and Qibla direction are calculated on your device, using established astronomical methods together with your device’s own sensors and location. No prayer time service is contacted, and your location is not sent anywhere for this purpose.
These results are approximations. Your chosen calculation method, local conventions, latitude, altitude, and the accuracy of your device’s sensors can all shift them, so local verification may be required.
Zamly is not a religious authority. Where the App’s output differs from your local mosque or a qualified scholar, follow their guidance.
8. Health and wellbeing disclaimer
The App is not intended to provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice.
Always seek guidance from a qualified professional for health-related concerns.
The App and its AI features are not crisis support. They are not monitored by a person, and they cannot respond to an emergency. If you are in crisis or in immediate danger, contact emergency services or a crisis line:
- 112 — emergency services across the European Union
- 90101 — Sjalvmordslinjen (Sweden), open around the clock
- 988 — Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (United States)
If you are elsewhere, contact your local emergency number or crisis line.
9. Accounts and data
To sync your data across devices, you may need to create an account.
- Different sign-in methods (Apple, Google) may create separate accounts unless linked
- You are responsible for maintaining your account security
- If you delete your account, your data may be permanently removed and cannot be recovered
10. Subscriptions and payments
Some features require a paid subscription.
- Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
- You must cancel through your store account settings
- Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription
We may offer free trials. If not cancelled before the trial ends, you may be charged.
11. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, features, content, and technology (excluding your content), is owned by Zamly and protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reuse any part of the App without permission.
12. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services (such as analytics, infrastructure, AI providers, crash reporting and performance monitoring tools, and payment platforms).
We are not responsible for:
- Third-party services or their availability
- Their content or accuracy
- Their privacy practices or terms
Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. In particular, we do not guarantee:
- That the App will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- That defects will be corrected
- That results (including AI outputs, prayer time calculations, or Qibla direction) are accurate, complete, or reliable
- That notifications will always be delivered, or delivered on time
This section applies only to the extent permitted by law, and is always subject to sections 15 and 16.
14. Limitation of liability
14.1 Damages we exclude
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the App or these Terms. This applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, and whether or not we were advised that such damages were possible.
This includes losses arising from errors in AI-generated content, prayer time calculations, Qibla direction, or missed or delayed notifications.
14.2 Cap on our total liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with the App or these Terms is limited to the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid for the App in the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) EUR 100.
15. Liability we do not exclude
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability under mandatory consumer protection law
Sections 13 and 14 apply only so far as the law allows, and always subject to this section. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions, so parts of those sections may not apply to you.
16. Your rights as a consumer in the EU
If you use the App as a consumer in the European Union, you have statutory rights that these Terms do not replace, reduce, or affect. Where anything in these Terms conflicts with those rights, your statutory rights prevail.
This includes your rights under Directive (EU) 2019/770 on contracts for the supply of digital content and digital services. Under that directive, we are responsible for supplying the App in conformity with the contract, and you may be entitled to have a lack of conformity brought into conformity, or to a price reduction or a refund, in the cases the law provides.
You may also have rights to withdraw from a purchase under applicable consumer law.
17. Your responsibility for claims you cause
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover us for claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from:
- Your misuse of the App
- Your breach of these Terms
- Content you upload or submit through the App
- Your violation of applicable law or of someone else’s rights
This does not apply to the extent the claim arises from our own breach or negligence, and it does not affect your mandatory consumer rights.
18. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the App ends
- Certain provisions (such as liability and ownership) will continue to apply
19. Changes to the App or Terms
We may update the App or these Terms from time to time.
If we make significant changes, we may notify you within the App.
Your continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms.
20. Feedback
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you agree that we may use them without restriction or compensation.
21. Platform terms (Apple & Google)
If you download the App through Apple App Store or Google Play:
- These Terms are between you and Zamly, not Apple or Google
- Apple and Google are not responsible for the App
- You must follow their applicable store terms
22. Geographic availability
Zamly is operated from Sweden and is primarily intended for users in the European Union. We make no representation that the App or its content is appropriate or available for use in other locations.
If you use the App from outside the European Union, you do so on your own initiative and you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply where you are.
23. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law rules. The courts of Sweden have jurisdiction over such disputes.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
